

Dr. Gheen has been practicing medicine in the Washington DC area
for over 20 years.
Dr. Gheen graduated from medical school at the University of Munich,
Germany. Thereafter, she was admitted as a special student to
George Washington University Medical School in Washington, DC
where she completed her residency training program in Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Before going into private practice, Dr. Gheen was an assistant
professor at Georgetown University in the Department of
Orthopedics/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (1980 - 1992).
While at Georgetown, Dr. Gheen was Director of the Amputee and
Orthotic Clinic and volunteered her expertise to the Muscular
Dystrophy Clinic.
Dr. Gheen is highly trained and broadly experienced in her field, and
has made numerous presentations at professional medical
conferences, as well as to "lay" audiences. She was invited to appear
on WJLA (Channel 7) News and WUSA (Channel 9) News as an expert
in preventative and rehabilitative medicine. In her practice, she
treats a variety of patients with chronic illnesses, from professional
athletes to accident victims, from adolescents to adults.
